Data processing terms

How CloudFARM will process data on its customers’ behalf once the platform serves them. Today it serves no one.

Draft under legal review — not yet in effect.This page describes what the site does today. Counsel is reviewing it, and it takes effect only when this notice is replaced by the date it takes effect.

Not in use yet

The developer platform is on a waitlist and processes no customer data. These terms apply once the platform processes data on a customer’s behalf, and will then form part of the platform’s terms.

What they will cover

  • The customer decides what data is processed and why; CloudFARM processes it only on the customer’s documented instructions.
  • Only the people who need access to provide the service will have it, and they will be bound to keep it confidential.
  • Security measures suited to the risk, starting from those on the security page.
  • The other companies that help process the data, listed before they are used, with notice of changes.
  • Help with the customer’s own obligations, including requests from the people the data is about and notice of a breach.
  • Return or deletion of the data when the service ends.

Where data will be processed

The platform is planned to run on capacity in Nepal. If capacity elsewhere is connected first, as interim capacity, the platform will say so and name the provider before it processes any customer data.
